With each new project, HBA‘s international presence, paired with its comprehensive understanding of the interior design sector, has permitted the capacity to reinvent the language of design.
HBA‘s design, located in The Palm Tower at the heart of Dubai‘s world-famous Palm Jumeirah, represents the sophisticated style of St. Regis, balancing local elements with the brand’s modern splendour and visionary spirit.
Inspired by the extremely significant tree, the region’s signature plant, HBA designed a place that is both entirely contemporary and discreetly reminiscent of the past.
The highly anticipated hotel has 264 lavishly decorated rooms and 26 magnificent suites, each with floor-to-ceiling windows offering spectacular views of The Palm Jumeirah and Dubai‘s cityscape.
It is located on the first eighteen floors of Nakheel’s new 52-story landmark property, The Palm Tower, and provides direct access to Nakheel Mall, which features stores, restaurants, a theatre, and a variety of entertainment choices.
The Swiss hotel operator’s first hotel outside of Switzerland is the Revier Hotel Dubai. The team was charged with giving the hotel a Swiss feel while also ensuring that the interior design remained based in the brand’s roots.
The design team played with the idea of merging the Swiss slopes with the undulating sand dunes of the desert by combining warm and cool colours together, including elements of a typical Swiss ski chalet while making sure it matched the local surroundings and culture.
The simplistic design allowed the team to be clever with material use to reduce waste, and the majority of the materials used in the project were acquired locally, with recycled goods utilised where feasible.
The St. Regis Abu Dhabi, the brand’s second hotel in Abu Dhabi and the third St. Regis hotel to open in the Middle East, strengthens Starwood’s position as a leader in premium hospitality.
The hotel, which is located on the bustling Corniche in the heart of the UAE capital, was built to combine the magnificent urban manor design of the flagship St. Regis New York with rich Arabic culture and the sumptuous Art Deco era.
Drawing on the warm colours of the sands, souks and traditional Middle Eastern cuisine, HBA has imagined a luxurious setting in Abu Dhabi that is steeped in a sophisticated Art Deco past.
The Living Room idea was inspired by the peaceful mix of many cultures living and working together in Dubai from the Middle East, Europe, and Asia. The Living Room represents the energy and intensity of such an interesting city, combining aspects from numerous cultures in a melting pot of styles to create its own distinct experience.
In the Ahasees Spa & Club, the lower level is made up of a serene palette composed of white marble, contrasting dark tones of walnut woods and copper metals.
Warm amber and sand mid-tones with custom coloured Kinon finishes were utilised to contrast the iridescent copper glass mosaics and metal wall tiles, creating a modern harmonious atmosphere.
Accents of Arabic design complement the modern style, with large-scale abstract geometric designs carved into the bronze tinted glass doors.
