At Brasserie Lumiere in the Fairmont Century Plaza, Parisian authenticity meets Century City modernism. This is a meeting spot for today’s creators, artists, authors, and business innovators, with a buzzing atmosphere all day, from power breakfast to informal lunch on the terrace to cocktails and supper with friends.
The design pays homage to the Parisians’ appreciation of excellent meals and pleasant moments in the company of beautiful things. Artisanal stations, such as charcuterie, Garde manger, bread, and patisserie, provide liveliness and credibility to the space.
French antiques and indoor-outdoor eating solidify the classic cafe culture in a new, whimsical opulent design.
The interior and brand design for two contemporary F&B establishments at the Four Seasons Westlake Village were handled by EDG. Coin & Candor is a modern California brasserie that serves wood-fired cuisine and locally sourced products. This all-day, indoor-outdoor facility embodies California elegance and attitude; its name is derived from the narrative of LA real estate entrepreneur and hospitality aficionado David Murdock.
Onyx is a contemporary take on traditional Japanese style and food. The textured, the natural design represents Japan’s pursuit of natural harmony, merging the sacred elements of the sea, forest, mountain, and sky.
Headlands Coastal Lodge & Spa, located on the rocky Oregon coast, is a one-of-a-kind location for the adventurous visitors. The resort promotes Oregon hospitality by providing tourists with luxurious facilities set against the background of sand-dune mountains and the famed Haystack Rock. The design incorporates the surrounding landscape with a Pacific City look and feel.
A roaring wood fire and a communal serpentine leather sofa greet guests, and the lodge-like atmosphere extends into the bar and dining room. In the summer, a wide corner sunroom opens to give a bright view of the Pacific, and you can see and smell the cedar and fir that comprise the space’s backbone.
Each area of this hideaway was meticulously planned to create a combination of elegance and roughness, natural and contemporary, inspired by the adventurous spirit of the Pacific Northwest.
The Fat Prince and Ottoman Room, both located in the Tanjong Pagar area, are two of the most intriguing new additions to Singapore’s vibrant restaurant industry.
The Fat Prince is a bistro-kebabery that mixes the energy of bohemian Karakoy with the sensibilities of a Parisian café, whilst The Ottoman Room offers itself as a grandiose place with a throwback to sultan-era feasts.
