Haidilao Intellectual Hotpot

Hot pot is a traditional Chinese cuisine known for not only taste good for the perfect blending of the ingredients but also because it represents harmony and reunion. Haidilao is an international famous catering company with an enormous customer group.

The project’s design concept excels for creating a technological experience. The interior layouts are divided into several areas, including the theatre-style waiting area, unmanned kitchen and dining area.

Having a hot pot demands lots of dishes, drinks and seasoning on one table. It is crucial to integrate all these requirements, hence there was an optimisation of the circulation and modularised booth seating, thus improving service efficiency and user experience.

The restaurant has also brought a lot of technological applications. For the service level, automated robots were introduced to reduce the labour service rate and improve service efficiency – improving also the environmental hygiene.

This technology also improves the service quality making the dining space open and safe, and under the premise of human service, technology is used to advance the dining experience for consumers whilst also learning more about other sensory possibilities that can be enjoyed while eating.

Haidilao demanded the designer to integrate the auto-allocated stock facility and transport systems in the kitchen, giving a harmonious look to the capsule-like hot pot restaurant.

Frame Awards is a two days event, and this year it will happen from the 19th to the 20th February, so the project we bring you today is just in time to spark your inspiration.
