Stockholm Design & Architecture Talks 2018
There are so many talking seminars this year but the honor guest is the one and only – Paola Navone! She is thefirst and foremost a citizen of the world, in her long and many-sided career she has switched easily between the roles of architect, designer, art director, interior designer, critic, teacher and organiser of exhibitions and events; So I guess she really have a lot to share.
Trend Exhibition 2018
The interior trends in recent years have been about looking to both the past and the future. There has been growing interest in fundamental, real materials, such as wood, metal, glass and leather, as well as handicrafts made from these materials. This years designer of the Trend exhibition – Christian Halleröd – owner of Halleroed interiors and architecture studio.
The Design bar 2018
Luca Nichetto is designer of design bar 2018 in Stocholms’ Furniture & light fair. He has a degree in industrial design and worked for Murano-based glass manufacturer Salviati and lighting company Foscarini before opening his own studios in Venice in 2006. He works with both furniture and accessories. And as you can see the bar just looks amazing, bet it looks even better in real life.
Greenhouse
Greenhouse is popular section at Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair where up-and-coming designers and design schools show their prototypes to future partners, producers and customers. You can see a variety of different kind of products – lighting, textiles, carpets, glass and art/design products of a more experimental nature.
Design Studio Area
This is the platform for design studios and small-scale producers. The goal of this platform was to promote diversity in the industry and support designers’ own small-scale productions.
Let’s not forget that in Stockholms’ Furniture & Light fair will be over 700 companies that will present their latest newes – you will find brand-new arrivals of furniture and the latest lighting design. Comapnies such as:
Alterna Badroom
Aneta Belysning / Scan Lamps
And so many more of companies that you can get inspired by or get their products in a fair.
Also Stockholm Furniture & Light fair is organizing the Stockholm Design Week at the same time as the fair. They are presenting more than 100 highprofile design events at various venues around the city.
This is so little what is happening in the fair, but this proves that it’s worth to go.
